Worldwide Documentaries producers have made the decision to selectively update Running To Stand Still to accurately reflect what is currently happening on the ground in communities all across the U.S.
Initially launched in the Fall of 2024 prior to the presidential election, Running To Stand Still, puts a human face on the world’s immigrant communities and depicts the human toll current U.S. immigration policies are taking on children and families in the United States. The film's current human focus on dignity and human rights will not change.
Since the new administration took office in January, it has been systematically reshaping U.S. asylum and migrant policies through a series of executive actions ultimately designed to deport as many as 3,000 undocumented or documented migrants a day, creating a climate of fear and betrayal that has driven immigrant communities underground, and created a moral and economic crisis that is growing exponentially throughout the country as a whole.
We will have the new version of Running To Stand Still available by Thanksgiving, and if you have been planning on including the original version of Running in an upcoming event, if possible, we respectively ask that you wait for the new version. The updated version will be even more impactful to audiences as we seek not only to tell the human stories of who immigrants are, but to also present the truth and the facts to the American people regarding the millions of immigrants and communities who are being affected by these current inhumane policies.
If you have already purchased the original Running To Stand Still, we will provide you at no cost the new version when it becomes available.

"Running To Stand Still – Migrants Search For Hope In The Promised Land," is a documentary film about the humanitarian crisis on the U.S. / Mexico border. "Running" seeks to put a human face on the immigration “issue” by telling heartbreaking and inspiring stories about the migrants themselves—courageous and dignified human beings whose lives stand as a powerful rebuke to a narrative that is fraught with hatred, alarmist rhetoric, and dehumanizing stereotypes.
"Running To Stand Still" is intended to stimulate a thoughtful, non-hysterical conversation among Americans from all walks of life as to what it truly means to be a “nation of immigrants” at this point in our nation’s history. As such, the film will stress the importance of electing people to political office who understand their role in shaping the character of our democracy for years to come.
The premise of "Running" is that the true corridors of power are the ones ordinary Americans walk during the course of their everyday lives… In their homes. In classrooms and on college campuses. On Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, and Instagram. In churches, temples, and mosques. At town hall meetings. In the newspapers, and on radio and television. These millions of Americans are the “influencers,” the policy makers, the custodians of our future; and it is these Americans, in all their cultural, social, political, and economic diversity, that "Running To Stand Still" intends to reach.
"Running To Stand Still" is the much-anticipated follow-up to our 2021 film, "Oh Mercy – Searching for Hope in the Promised Land."
